    Allen Bradley 100-K Miniature Contactors

The Bulletin 100-K Miniature Contactors by Allen Bradley offer optimal flexibility due to their compact size, providing an ideal solution to suit your system requirements. These versatile contactors are specially designed for commercial and light industrial applications where panel space is limited. They ensure reliable, safe, and efficient switching capabilities for your motor control system, giving you maximum performance in a small package.

These miniature units have less panel depth requirements and are shallower than standard IEC contactors. They are available with several contact ratings and AC or DC operating coils. Optional 2- or 4-pole auxiliary contact blocks in a variety of auxiliary contact configurations are available separately. These cost-saving contactors are rated up to 690V and have 3 Poles plus 1 Auxiliary contact. The dimensions are: (H) 50 x (W) 45 x (D) 53mm.

These contactors have mechanically linked performance between the main contacts and internal aux contacts, which allows status feedback if contact weld occurs. Mirror contact prevents any status condition if a NO pole welds.

    Features and Benefits:

    • Compact size, allowing broader application use
    • Choice of full-voltage non-reversing and reversing contactors
    • AC and DC have the same dimensions
    • IP2X Finger Protection for improved safety
    • Optional integrated surge suppressor
    • Fully compatible with Bulletin 193-K bimetallic overload relay
    • Mechanically linked contacts to IEC 60947-5-1 on base unit
    • “Mirror contacts” to IEC 60947-4-1 throughout

    Certifications:

Suitable for use with IE3 Motors (IEC 60034-30)

    Allen Bradley Contactor, 12A, 5.5kW - 100-K12DJ01

Use this contactor from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range to control your brushed and brushless motors. It's an electromechanical device that uses a 24V direct current (DC) voltage to energise a coil and switch a motor on or off. For enhanced electrical safety, the unit comes equipped with a diode that acts as a shunt when the coil is disconnected from the supply. It also has terminals that are out of the reach of fingers for additional protection from electric shocks. You can use this general-purpose device for commercial and industrial motor-control applications.

    What is a contactor?

    • Power rating of 4kW for high current load applications• Thermoplastic housing material for insulation and impact resistance• Easy clip-on DIN rail mounting eliminates the need for tools• Mirror contacts for enhanced component control and safety

    Standards and Certifications

    • CE (Conformité Européenne)• cULus (Underwriters Laboratory U.S and Canada)• CCC (China Compulsory Certificate)

Rockwell Automation is a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, and brings smart manufacturing to life. With a long legacy of creating Allen-Bradley® integrated control and information solutions, we help make you as productive as possible. Our portfolio of sensing, safety and motor control products can support your move towards smart machine applications. Allen-Bradley® IO-Link sensors are data-enabled and communicate with all field buses, providing diagnostic and health information about the device before a machine stops, and enabling quick production changeovers through fast parameter downloads from PLCs into the device. This reduces machine downtime and increases manufacturing OEE. For safety components, products with built-in diagnostics simplify the set-up of the smart device, and reduce maintenance, leading to a more efficient, machine data-driven approach.

What levels of overload can be handled by this contactor?

In peak loads of a few seconds, the heat transfer process is slow and may not change the terminal temperature noticeably. For longer durations, the temperature rise inside the contactor could cause serious damage.
