    Description

Allen Bradley Guardmaster Ferrogard 6, 9 & 10 Slim Non Contact Safety Switch

Enhance the safety and security of your machine guards and provide essential protection for personnel with the Ferrogard FRS, 6 9 and 10 by Allen Bradley Guardmaster. These magnetically actuated non-contact safety switches are specially designed to be installed on guard doors and work by immediately cutting off the power supply to a machine when the safety guard or gate is opened, thereby restricting unsafe access for personnel to a hazardous area. The magnetic actuator is removed from the switch when the door is released, which then opens the NC safety contacts.

They offer reliability and a high tolerance to misalignment due to their large sensing field. These switches are dust-tight and are highly suitable for wet environments as they are sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P). With two active sensing faces, they offer a wider range of mounting options for your convenience. This switch is moulded in ABS plastic with a slim rectangular housing, making it perfect for narrow mounting areas.

    Features and Benefits:

    • Slim housings, well suited to narrow mounting areas and two active sensing faces permitting more flexible mounting options
    • Non-contact actuation, which allows the machine guard to be opened immediately
    • Operating distance for safety contacts: make 12mm; break 23mm
    • Operating temperature range: -10°C to +65°C
    • M4 mounting
    • Cat. 1 Device per EN954-1 Dual channel interlocks suitable for Cat. 3 or 4 systems

Approvals: CE Marked for all applicable directives and cULus,
    UL, CSA

    Standards: EN954-1, ISO13849-1, IEC/EN60204-1, NFPA79, EN1088, ISO14119, ANSI B11.19, AS4024.1.

    440N-G02096 Magnetic Safety Interlock Switch

The 440N-G02096 Ferrogard FRS9 magnetic safety switch has 1NC (Normally Closed) safety contact and features a 4-Pin Micro Quick Disconnect connector. The switching capacity is 1A max at 24VDC. It has an ABS plastic rectangular enclosure which is red to ensure clear visibility of the safety switch during an emergency. This Ferrogard model offers highly dependable contact-free interlocking for the machine guard.

What are the advantages of non-contact safety switches?

Non-contact safety switches are highly reliable and durable. They take less wear and tear and are low-maintenance, as well as resistant to shocks and vibrations. They cannot be easily manipulated or tampered with and are ideal for use with machine guards and doors to restrict access to unsafe areas. They are often used in industrial environments, such as in factory production lines. Allen Bradley Guardmaster are experts in machine safety devices and have an exceptional range to help you find your ideal solution.
