Product Details
Type K Double Pole 6kA - System Pro M Compact
The ABB S200 Series of MCB offer a compact solution for protection requirements. These miniature circuit breakers are current limiting; DIN rail mounted and can offer a good equivalent to fused systems.
Type K characteristics have been specifically designed for the protection of motor control circuits and items used within them. It has a very sensitive thermal curve, combined with a magnetic setting of 8 times the normal input current, which is high enough to avoid in-rush nuisance tripping, but provides good protection against over current conditions.
DIN rail mounting
Complies with BS EN 60898
Finger Safe Terminals
ABB 2-Pole MCB, 400V AC Voltage Rating, 6kA Breaking Capacity - S200 Series - 2CDS252001R0427 S202-K10
Stop excess current before it becomes dangerous with this MCB from ABB. It has 2 poles to monitor 2 circuits at once for efficient protection. The Type K device trips when it detects current over 8 times its 10A current rating, making it ideal for applications with high expected in-rush currents. Thanks to a breaking capacity of 6kA, it handles intense electrical loads to protect even demanding industrial equipment. The breaker mounts on a DIN rail for convenient access after tripping.
Features & Benefits
⢠Works with both AC and DC voltages for wide compatibility with common power supplies
⢠Colour-coded contact positions keep you informed on the status of your circuits
⢠Narrow 35mm width packs tightly onto your DIN rail to optimise the space in your system
⢠Screw terminals ensure secure electrical connections for a reliable safety device
Applications
⢠Domestic appliances
⢠Lighting systems
⢠Cutting machines
⢠Catering industry
What's the difference between an MCB and a conventional fuse?
While both fuses and MCBs break circuits before overcurrents become dangerous, fuses need replacing every time they blow. MCBs are reset with a simple switch to reduce your appliance's downtime after electrical faults.
